Hundreds of people gathered Friday evening for a bike ride in honor of a popular 16-year-old Frederick High School junior who died Sunday.

"He loved bikes," said Mike Murfitt, 20, of Frederick, who organized the ride. "The community loved him and the BMX community is basically family."
