In hindsight I wish I would have interviewed him... so much to tell there! I remember getting my first CX bike from Peter like 12 yrs ago and then something like 2-3 years later he retired... and now today was his return to success! Brandon Dwight lost by Peter by about 2 inches... My money is back on Brandon in PDX.

Pump Track coming to Golden via BikesBelong Grant

News Item:

Did you race last weekend at the Tony Grampsas Park in Golden? Expect more riders showing up there soon thanks to a Bikes Belong grant that will allow this park to have a youth skills trail, pump track and more. Below are the details.

A $10,000 grant from Bikes Belong will help COMBA construct the first phase of the Golden Bike Park. This project has received great support from IMBA as well as the local bike community and promises to get lots of use from mountain bikers across the Front Range. Phase I will include a youth area, skills-development trail, and pump track, and is aimed at riders of all ages and abilities. The bike park's location—near well-loved singletrack and within an existing community park—will also give great access and exposure to the sport.

Make riding inside more fun

News Item:

Temperature is 16F and 4 inches of snow is on the ground... "cool" you say because today is Wednesday Worlds but if you cut off outside cycling once the temperature drops below your age then the next few months could be a bore but a big requirement if you have any desire for the races that happen before June. Check out some of the boredom fighting videos at epicPlanet.tv. I like these videos because they have the perspective of the bike, its like I'm riding in a exciting warmer place! I did contact epicplanet and they have plans in 2010 to create a Colorado DVD.
