Here are some Triple Bypass Alternatives!

I had a feeling this was going to happen and thats why we have been reminding our readers about the Triple Bypass registration. Here is a story from the Westword.

Want to ride in this year's Triple Bypass? Well, you likely can't.

To avoid me putting to many opinions into this story due to its nature I will be brief and link to the story on this in the Daily Camera This incident happened sometime over the past summer at the new crosswalk on 28th in front of Safeway near iris. Many will blame the crosswalk, some will say the parent, even though they had the legal right to ride through, should have stopped to check traffic, and who know what else will come up. If you are passionate about this you might want to follow the comments on this and the dailycamera throughout the day.

After taking a year off the famous Boulder Roubaix is back this April 11! Heralded as one of the greatest spring classic races in the Front Range matching that of its parent race which it gets its name from in France.

This years course which is currently scheduled for April 11th will run on a course not used in many years adding more length (18.7 miles) which could also mean the possibility of adding more categories. The more common short course (and typical course) has limitations in how many fields can be on course at once but this longer version should avoid such complications.

The added miles and hills will more than ever before made this a race of endurance. Winners of Roubaix are usually big names or names of folks soon to be big and the 2010 season will not be any different! Who do you think will be the big favorites in 2010? I'm putting my money on Chuck Coyle!

BOULDER, CO USA (January 11, 2010) Ciclosportivo N.A. announces today that is has rolled-back its Gran Fondo Boulder, Steamboat and Vail early-registration fees to $75 per event; the company issues $25 refunds to pre-registrants.

“Based on fewer registrations than desired by year-end and the elastic demand experienced from our price increase as of the New Year, we have rolled back our early-registration fees to $75 per Gran Fondo,” Ciclosportivo N.A. spokeswoman D’Abria Vesace explains. “For all registrants paying the increased fee as of January 1, we considered it only fair to issue them a $25 refund; the credits were processed yesterday.”

Ciclosportivo N.A. opened its Gran Fondo registration in September 2009, offering special pricing in an attempt to pre-book its events before year-end. “We have never found price leadership sexy, but we wanted to put the registration process behind us and focus on promoting world-class events,” spokeswoman Versace says. “We ended 2009 with approximately 1,000 fewer registrations than desired, so as of the New Year our marketing begins in earnest.”
