well it basically makes that race worthless for any cat 3 trying to upgrade, reduces possible attendance, and is also unsafe to place cat 5's in that kinda situation. surely you guys could make it a 3 race and a 4/5?? there really wasn't anything else going on that wknd any way except some training crit in littleton. Maybe ohio isnt really the midwest but i grew up racing there and NEVER heard of a 3/4/5 race. How is that fair to the 4/5's? Sure some are going to upgrade to the stronger cats but some wont/dont have the time and or ability to do so and still want to have their own competitive race. Your plan basically screws everyone, and like i said before is the real reason your gonna have 10 guys showing up to race each cat. This is boulder for christs sake!! There are more racers here than anywhere in the country...sure maybe a race 4 hrs away might have a lesser turnout, but thats not always the case.
It is definitely not in Boulder...
Smaller turnout. I bet less way less then 100 USCF races show up.
Focus is on Collegiate Cats.
Looks like good road course. Combine that in May with the Unaweep Canyon race starting from the East/GJ side and you could have a great weekend of Road Races.
did they really run a 3/4/5

That is standard practice in much of the midwest... What do you do when you have 10 show up for each category?
