Remembering Stage 6 of 2012 - a day of mourning.

A little Onion humor for you.

12 months later and the pain is still real as it was the first day. That is how Sarah FogelKopf feels as we near the 12 month anniversary of the USA Pro challenge stage that finished up on Flagstaff. As many of you may remember there was quit a battle that was fought in order to allow Boulder Open Space to allow the stage to even finish on Flagstaff and even with all the limitations of the wristbands to get access to the hill-side, sticks and foliage were injured and/or killed by the rabid spectators. Sarah sits next to the road side where hundreds of fans gathered to watch the racers finish that epic day in Boulder and she quietly sits there tears roll down her face as she tell us why. “They where just small branches, no bigger than a pencil and now they are gone, destroyed. One day those branches would have had pine cone babies on them, BABIES!”

Obviously the pain is still great for others but for most, IT’S TIME TO PACK UP THE CARS OR GET YOUR ENERGY BARS BECAUSE WE ARE ROLLING UP THE FORT COLLINS FOR THIS YEAR’S STAGE 6 OF THE USA PRO CHALLENGE. SEE YA BOULDER!
