The sixth stage of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge is expected to bring more than 100,000 spectators to Boulder on Aug. 25, and with them an increased presence of public safety crews as well as extended road closures to accommodate the race.
With all that in mind, organizers of the Boulder County Farmers' Market made an unprecedented announcement Tuesday: The market will not be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, but will instead be open Sunday, Aug. 26.
"We have never rescheduled for an event before," Boulder market manager Jenn Ross said. "But we're super excited that the race is coming, and we're pretty excited to try something new and be out there for a Sunday as well."
