Bike Bully ask for Plea Deal

From the Daily Camera

Ernst said he did not want to talk to reporters about the case because the media would not get it right, but did say that the men on the bicycles did not appear to be scared at the time and that all he did was honk his horn at them.

Ernst said he has received threatening phone calls and mail since the case received wide media coverage.

It all started back in September, read more and the reaction to the public in the orignal news story in September

So i saw this guy on TV

So i saw this guy on TV leaving the hearing wearing a shirt with a C-Dot logo. Does he work for C-Dot? If he drives a Colorado (C-Dot) vehicle for a living, i hope the DA takes away his driving privilege for a time, and thus makes a negitive impact in his career.

Re:

He's to old to work for CDOT. After giving CDOT 30+ years and around the age of 55, they will walk you to the door, ask for your ID and lock the door behind you like you've never been there before.
It's okay though because now he can live the rest of his days on a pension and health care paid for with your tax dollars.

If he did 30 years and

If he did 30 years and retired, he paid plenty into his pension, just like you have, or will, pay into your retirement, whether it be a 401k, pension, or SS. Can we just drop the divide and conquer, class warfare political BS for at least a little while?

Focus dude

Focus Mikey. Focus. The problem here is not public employees. If you disagree with our pension system, stick around, I'm a public employee and probably won't be able to retire til I'm 80. The problem is bullying cyclists...not bullying public employees just b/c some dude who MAY work/have worked for CDOT (or maybe he just shops at Goodwill??).
Also this guy thinks that the cyclists should have been scared in order for him to be a bully. No...that's not bullying. Bullying is your behavior and your choices. Sorta like, as a public employee, I am not scared of Mikey. I wish him nothing but sunshine and lollipops for the rest of his ill-informed days.

WAHHH

"threatening phone calls and mail since the case received wide media coverage"

Oh woe is me poor dude. You deserve the attention you asked for it when acting like a jack ass on the road. This is really sad, a plea deal is very normal in the judicial system and he will walk away with a slap on his hand, knowing this from working in the legal field for over 11 years.

As a cyclists both off and on the road, it worries me that this kind of behavior is taken lightly. He did it once, likely going to happen again.
