BACKCOUNTRY LIFELINE AND THE 139 FUND ANNOUNCE PRIZE GIVEAWAY:

Donate for Chances to Win a Yeti SB6c

Backcountry Lifeline, the company that has been working to make mountain biking safer for racers, riders, and event organizers since the Fall of last year, just announced a fundraising Giveaway that any biker can afford, and every biker wants.

For a $10 donation, participants are eligible for over $10,000 worth of prizes–including a fully built Yeti SB6C, in addition to prizing from Fox, Maxxis, Evoc, Enve, Enduro Mtb Training, and more.

Founded by four riders following a season eclipsed by mountain bike tragedies across the nation last year, Backcountry Lifeline (BCLL) aims to provide racers and riders with the training, tools, and technology necessary to be more prepared, and more knowledgeable, for the types of emergency situations riders may encounter in the backcountry. The group teaches First Aid, CPR and Incident Command courses on days preceding various race events, and also hosts Wilderness First Aid Camps.

The Giveaway, announced on June 30th, will run through July 30th. Donations for chances to win may be made in person at Backcountry Lifeline events or online.

The event is being hosted by the non-profit organization, The 139 Fund, to benefit Backcountry Lifeline. 139 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in honor of Will Olson, who died on Stage 3 of the Big Mountain Enduro/Enduro World Series race in Crested Butte in August of last year.

Prize winners will be drawn at the rider party being hosted by Backcountry Lifeline, Big Mountain Enduro and the Enduro World Series at the Aspen Snowmass (CO) race on July 30th. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

“We’re psyched about this event,” said BCLL co-founder Flynn George. “Not only do we get to raise money for something we care deeply about, but we get to giveaway sweet prizes–including one of the best bikes out there!”

“The industry support has been amazing,” added co-founder Bonnie McDonald. “Yeti, Maxxis, Specialized, Smith, and Shimano have been rockstars, literally paving the way for racers to get trained. Fox, Evoc, Enve and Enduro MTB Training also came through in a big way to support this event.”
