Urgent !! If you don't speak up then who will

Denver Parks and Recreation has decided to give 11.5 acres of our park land to Denver Public Schools. DP&R has broken a sacred trust as managers of our Parks. Hentzell Park is in the central corridor of the city located on Cherry Creek Bike trail across from the reservoir. This is a beautiful area full of wildlife. There is a prairie dog colony in the park that will be euthanized to build a school. There will be a Meeting for interested citizens this Saturday at 9am February 23, Calvary Baptist Church on the NE corner of Hampden and Monaco. This has never been done before in Denver and it opens a Pandora’s Box for the future of our parks. If you enjoy our parks please come to the meeting to show your concern for this unprecedented maneuver by Denver Parks and Recreation Dept. This must be stopped. Park land has become increasingly valuable and will continue to be the focus for political schemes. Please join us in our effort to inform people and organize a response to this action by Denver Parks and Recreation.
