Cyclist hit by paint bullet while riding
Submitted by Kris Thompson on
Hugh Walton has probably seen a lot in his cycling career but last Wednesday he added another one to the WTF list of things experienced while riding his bike, he was shot by a paint bullet. The paint bullet did not explode but it did break his skin and give him one heck of a bruise. The car was an old Ford Tempo color grey and the incident happened on Hwy 93 while riding north just south of Boulder.

I had the same thing happen

I had the same thing happen last winter... Except, I was riding North on Broadway (in North Boulder) late at night after finishing work. An SUV of some sort drove by slowly in my direction, I looked over and saw the barrel of the paintball gun and heard it fire all at once. Fortunately they missed. But I was still pissed.

I commute to work up 93 every day, and will keep an eye out for this. Should I say I am not surprised that someone who owns a paintgun would also drive a car such as this?
