Surprised they don't mention the dirt road sections in the course description on their website.

I rode 1/2 of the course today (we had to turn around at 88th Ave. due to weather) and there's a serious gravel section on Imboden Rd. that is deeper than anything you'll find on Boulder Roubaix. This course is hard wether you're doing 1 lap or 3. You're going to be suffering people. Sign up and race! Support cycling in Colorado!

do you really think this is criticism of WOL for rocking the boat? It was/is nothing more than catching them in an exaggeration. I don't care how you redefine it, it is not the longest RR in CO history. Not even the longest amateur RR in CO history. Now, the cat 3 race may well be the longest that they've ever raced, and if it is that's kinda sad. There's a race coming up down South where even the Cat 5s race longer than the OZ RR. It even has dirt, a lot of dirt, and some really steep hills...

Still feel like bragging about the OZ RR?

you really are pathetic, even when someone says they can't wait for the WOL apologists/sycophants to rear their heads up in protest, you don't get it that to make excuses for their mistake is lame. Face it. WOL made a clear, definitive, albeit false, statement. They engaged in hyperbole and it backfired. If they had just said 'one of the longest races' it would've been fine. In an attempt at over-promoting themselves, they just lied. Pretty simple.

This is not a case of "it depends on how you define the word "is"".

The peasant class doesn't race bikes, they just troll on 303 here and pretend they race bikes.

The peasant class and the establishment are always afraid of industry disrupters. Microsoft in the 80's, Southwest Airlines in the 90's, the list goes on. At a tiny micro economic level we have WOL disrupting the cycling scene here in Colorado, but ironically they've been far more disruptive in the triathlon industry nationwide which is the majority of their business. So the insignificant criticisms they receive here on the 303 rant board by a bunch of trolls is simply comical. Personally I tip my hat to industry disrupters as they make the world a better place. #doyourthang

The loudest criticism always comes from the cheapest seats in the house. Thank you WOL for continuing to exemplify class over the last decade and know that the majority of the community support your mission, without the trivial need to criticize semantic statements. Signing up now for what's sure to be a fun 2 laps.

So let's add some qualifying statements after the fact that were implied for the "educated, non dooschy, non keyboard warrior", cycslists: Longest 100% amateur based road race in Colorado History with all senior and masters categories included. Congrats, now all the non tools on 303 can enjoy calling out that statement which is correct. And we wonder why no one really likes road cyclists in the real world.

No one, outside of maybe your mother or your lover or your idiot coworkers that you have convinced you're a bike racer, cares about all the amateur categories.

If you're going to make a definitive statement, such as "longest race in CO history", you should expect to be called out if you're wrong. They were, and they were.
