There is always that group that won't be happy.

Had them a $100 bill and they will complain how is was folded.

Hitown is just part of the problem. Doesn't know what it takes to produce a bike race, wants others to make their fantasy to come true, then bitches about others when it doesn't happen.

You don't know what it takes to get a permit. Why don't you go try.

Carter Lake is nowhere near Boulder, not even in the same county. Ok, I'll throw down...

How about a road race that starts at Stazio, goes east on Valmont to 75th, south on 75th to Arapahoe, climb the big hill and drop back into Stazio for the finish. Multiple laps. Yeah, it's a circuit, no it's not a hillclimb but it has a good one in it and all the Bubble boys and girls can ride there and back home. Talk amongst youselves.

""Seeing major entry fee inflation this year.""

That is what it costs to run a RR in Boulder County.

If you are such a budget racer then stick to Wed nite parking lot crits. Wait, there isn't even that anymore.

It is about time bike racing entry fees have gone up. Look at tris and MTB or Mudders or.....

There aren't any REAL stage races left.

Thanks to all involved for bringing stage racing back to the front range. The race courses were interesting, diverse, and catered to all different kinds of talents. The P-1-2 GC lead changed after every stage, which shows that every stage was selective and relevant. The GC was ultimately won by the best all-around rider, which is how a multi-day race should be. Finally, thanks to the organizers for incorporating a big climb into a stage race. We have mostly flat and rolling races on the local scene, and too few climby races (other than the pure hill climbs, which only attract the specialists). I will do this event again.

Curious why make it a stage race and not omnium? I agree that more people might have signed up for just the HC on Sunday if that was an option. The omnium format seems to work well for Superior. I did appreciate they allowed people to continue on to the next stage if they had a legitimate mechanical incident - it's a bummer to end your stage race on day 1 when you flat in the TT.

Damn you Boulder County for not building new roads for original course in the last 25 years. Don't you know how important us road racers are and that main streets should be shut down for very important racing. Loved the overall event; best TT in the state IMO, the best part of the Roubaix course, and a real hill climb. Love it and thank you for taking a chance on a cool new concept event.
