Ride in the BMC Team car during the Quizno Cycling Challenge

From Road 2 Victory

60 days, Once in a lifetime opportunity…

As cycling fans, many of us know the excitement of watching our favorite pro spring classic or epic stage race. As coverage gets better, we get closer to the action. You can almost feel the pain and adrenaline coursing through the riders as they surge to the line.

Well that’s the TV perspective…

Each of us, in the course of our lives, are presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity. Whether it’s your time to cross the line first or taking on the biggest challenge of your life, you know it when it’s there. You can feel it deep down – this is your chance – your once in a lifetime opportunity. You can take it on with all of your might or let it regrettably slip away.

This year we are incredibly excited to present to you, a once in a lifetime opportunity and challenge. The television and magazines are one way to observe cycling, but how about being there?

As in right there…

Straight from the desk of the General Manager of the BMC Pro Cycling Team, this exciting announcement just came in:

"General Manager of the BMC Racing Team has offered a ride in the BMC Racing team car to follow one of their riders at the Vail Time Trial during the Quizno's Pro Challenge"

Imagine, if you will, sitting in a BMC Pro racing team car, adrenaline pumping, radios going, frantic and intense communications being made and one of the world’s best cyclists pounding away on the pedals like it’s the last chance he’ll have in his life to win – all right in front of you.

By this point, you have to be asking yourself, “Could this be my opportunity – my once in a lifetime?” Just as those with Parkinson’s face their challenge in dealing with the disease, it’s your turn to face – head on – your challenge. This opportunity will go to the one person who can face the challenge of raising $10,000 or more* by May 21st 2011.

*One individual (as part of a team or individual) with the highest fund-raising amount will receive the prize. Participants are not required to be registered for the Road to Victory Bicycle Classic to win. All donations must be registered through the Davis Phinney Foundation fundraising pages by 11:59pm on May 21st 2011 to qualify for this prize. It’s a challenge that’s for sure. So is facing Parkinson’s head on and not giving up. Just like those with Parkinson’s, we whole heartedly believe you can meet the challenge with courage and heart. You’ve got 60 days friends. Are you up to the challenge? Are you ready for this once in a lifetime?

The top fundraiser will also receive 1-2 VIP passes to the Quizno’s Pro Challenge. OK…now what are you waiting for?

If you’re ready, sign up and create your own donation page here.

The clock is ticking and the finish line is 60 days away... GO! GO! GO!

Also part of this year’s event, the Davis Phinney Foundation is launching its Victory Crew Program for your fundraising efforts.

INTRODUCING THE VICTORY CREW…

To become part of the new Davis Phinney Foundation Victory Crew program you just need to raise $25! However, if you are up to the challenge, raising more gets you:

  • Victory Crew t-shirt - $250 in fund-raising
  • Victory Crew Jersey or Athletic Shirt - $1000 in fund-raising
  • Invitation to Dinner with Davis Phinney - $5000 in fund-raising

We think you can easily see the incentives are there to raise funds. We also think you will see that the greatest prize of all for raising funds is the effect you have towards Parkinson’s.

Do your part and you’ll always live with the pride and honor of KNOWING
YOU DID SOMETHING GREAT AND YOU ARE A TRUE HERO TO THE
CAUSE. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? THERE ARE ONLY 60 DAYS LEFT TO ROCK THIS THING BIG.

Team Road to Victory Bicycle Classic
