Interview with Boulder's Track Star Cari Higgins

Last week, Higgins competed in her second track world championships -- after only six years of racing. In her first trip to the worlds, last year, her best finish was sixth in the points race. This year, she finished fifth in a different mass-start event on the oval -- the scratch.

Higgins had been up since 2:30 a.m. thanks to jet lag, but she caught up with us about racing at the worlds, how she got into track cycling and how she trains around here:

Q: Your best finish this year was in an event called the scratch. What is the scratch?
