Boulder Valley School District Walk & Roll Week!!

Mother Nature is finally giving up on Winter and commuting by bike is in the air! 303Cycling helps kick off the season with a series of stories on you and bike commuting starting with Boulder Valley School District's Safe Routes to School program.

Safe Routes to Schools is a national program that BVSD is participating in. In short Safe Routes to Schools is just that, helping kids get to school safer on alternative (but use to be normal) means like biking or walking, read the Mission statement on it.

Next week on April 22, BVSD will be promoting a Bike to School Day and the school with the largest particpation can win prizes!! Sign up for Bike to School day NOW and help your child's school win and become engaged in maybe not just a one day affair but the start of a healthier lifestyle!

This year two school in Boulder have received Safe Routes to Schools Funding, Heatherwood Elementary and Whittier Elementary. Recently this year Bear Creek Elementary won the Oberstar Award at the National Bike Summit in Washington, D.C for such great success on their Safe Routes to School Program
