The Boulder County Business Report is running an article about the details of the velodrome. The article gives details of how large the building is, velodrom size, costs for a membership etc. The article also says that this is a $300,000 project.
Boulder Indoor Cycling has set a grand opening date of December 1st. Looks like there will also be a grand opening party Sunday November 30th. There site was updated today. Check it out! It also says that they have started to take registrations for racing leagues.
We hopefully will have some pictures of the construction as it happens. More to come.
I just saw an article at Cyclingnews.com mentioning the Rocky Mountain Bicycle Show. The show is November 1st and 2nd at the University of Colorado UMC. There is a $5 admission and a portion of that goes to the CU Cycling Team.
November 1st and 2nd is also The Boulder Cup. So, the first weekend in November is packed with cycling.
Looks like Valmont Park is moving forward. I know lots of money is being raised for the development of the park. I just read here that the latest plans are being discussed and the prairie dogs are being relocated.
After the great racing last Saturday I feel empty in the raceless upcoming Saturday, like a bored teen at a mall. For the cycling junkies Davanti Coaching will hold a clinic this Saturday on climbing (something no one does in Colorado -;) ). I don't know much about Davanti or their coaches but I can say that unless you are a exercise geek AND very disciplined having a coach can REALLY improve your cycling! I have been racing for 18 years and a few years ago I got a coach and she really took me to the next level.
