It's been a hot summer so far this year and most of that heat is coming from the law! From the information we are hearing in social media enforcement is up. It's easy to see a cyclists break the law, some intersections in Boulder could be used to fund a few new cop cars if they stayed there every day. But which law breakers are worse? Travelers to Morrison, be warned: If you’re riding a bicycle through town, police will be watching to make sure the rules of the road are upheld.

Running a red light or failing to stop at a stop sign are the most common infractions, according to Police Chief Rudy Sandoval.

“We will be ticketing cyclists who disobey the traffic laws,” he said.

Many of these maps can be ordered in print format if the download size is too challenging to work with or if you are like myself and prefer a good old fashion map in your lap in the evenings to gaze upon and dream up new routes and rides.

• Boulder Self Guided Trail Map. A nice supplemental to the Boulder City Map. This map is a tour guide of things you might see while on your ride on the Boulder Trail system

Boulder has some wonderful trails for recreational riding or commuting to your destinations but how many times have you wished, "I wish this trail would connect to that trail so I can avoid the road". Well I go through that thought process all the time and I'm not alone. There is growing strong support to create some new segments of trails that would connect many other trails to help create a ring trail around Boulder.
