Registration nearing 3,500 for Boulder’s 37th Annual Bike to Work Day

BOULDER— The excitement is building for next week’s Bike to Work Day, Wednesday, June 26. Organizers shared that close to 3,500 people have registered so far — 500 ahead of this time last year — and that this year’s Bike to Work Day will host the most breakfast stations ever — 51! The registered riders represent more than a quarter of the Bike to Work Day registrants across the Front Range. Registration for Bike to Work Day continues until June 26.

“We’re pleased at the number of registrants so far and that we are ahead of our registration count compared to last year,” said Sue Prant, director of Boulder Walk & Bike Month. “We typically see a surge in registration just prior to Bike to Work Day, so we are hoping we can exceed our goal of 5,000 registrants this year.”

Those registered to ride on Bike to Work Day help officials calculate how much a single day of riding a bike can reduce Boulder’s carbon footprint. They’ll also be eligible for a wide range of prizes. Register at www.walkandbikemonth.org.
