Bicycle Scavenger Hunt, July 19th

Rules of the Hunt: Each team of 1 to 4 scavengers will receive a list of clues. All teams will take off on their bikes at the same time and forage for the clues around Boulder. When you find a clue, immobilize it by taking a picture of it including at least half of your team members. The first team back with pictures of all scavenged items wins!! After the Hunt: feast, grog, and win loot in a silent auction!

The Teams: Create your team of 1 to 4 scavengers and register your team here or at Full Cycle on Pearl. The cost is $20 per team. You will receive a confirmation email when you register.

What to Bring: A digital or polaroid camera to capture hunt items. If digital, bring the cord to connect the camera to a computer. We'll have a slide show of photo-captured loot during the post-hunt feast. Also bring, of course, your bike - your only means of pursuing your prey! All participants must wear a helmet to protect themselves from evil anti-hunt forces.

Hunt Schedule of Events:
July 19:
3:00pm: Your team of scavengers arrives at at Full Cycle on Pearl and receives the list of clues
3-3:30: If the clues stump you, you can buy hints for the hunt for $5.
3:30: THE HUNT BEGINS. You have two hours to photo-capture all items on the list.
5:30: Finish the hunt at Gondolier for your pint of cheer! (1600 Pearl St). The top three teams win the grand loot, and all finishing teams get hot prizes too!
6:00: Feast and silent auction. $15 for feast - this may change slightly depending on the menu. A portion of this is also a donation to Greenhouse Scholars.

The Reason: All proceeds from the event will benefit Greenhouse Scholars, a local non-profit that provides college scholarships and mentorship to over-achieving, under-resourced Colorado high school students.The Venus de Miles Women's Bike Club, hosted by Full Cycle, is raising $6000 this year to fund a Scholar - this event is the club's largest annual fundraiser.
