Local bike fitting business gets an ivestment from Specialized. From VeloNews:
BOULDER, Colorado (VN) — Specialized Bicycles has invested in Retül with the goal of collaborating on the development of bicycle-fitting technology, the Boulder-based company announced Friday.
Retül, co-founded in 2007 by Todd Carver, Cliff Simms and Franko Vatterott, offers a three-dimensional motion-capture system, a dynamic adjustable fit bike and other tools used by bike fitters worldwide.
“We are extremely pleased to collaborate with Retül,” said Mike Sinyard, CEO of Specialized Bicycle Components. “We were impressed with the latest technology and their profitable and debt-free business model, and we see this investment enabling them to further expand their impact on the fitting industry and support and strengthen all IBDs through offering fitting services.”
