Pros Can Now Signup for MadSync Races Without Fear of UCI Sanction

MadSync has come up with a solution to the UCI’s decision to enforce rule 1.2.019 baring UCI license holders from competing in ACA races.

Starting with the Haystack Mtn. TT, any ACA member categorized as a “Pro” on their ACA license will have their name listed as “Registration Confidential” and team as “Team Confidential” on the public registered riders page in MadSync. Additionally, anyone registering in the Pro-1-2 field who is racing on a 1 day license will be treated the same.

For Haystack, be careful how you chose the name of your Team Time Trial as this info is not hidden from the public for logistical purposes.

Better yet, let's see all

Better yet, let's see all the Pro/1/2 riders show up to races in UCI-registered team kit. With all the Astana, Garmin, RadioShack, Francais des Jeux, and Lampre kits at a race like Koppenburg, USA Cycling won't be able to tell who's breaking their lame-ass rules. Take that suckers!

Why,oh why?

Why would you help a rider break the terms of a license they willing accepted?

Should we help riders do other activities that are not approved under the terms of their license?

Should all the pro riders who skipped mead roubaix and didn't break a collarbone be thankful that the UCI didn't let them ride the race?

Because we need to stand up

Because we need to stand up and help preserve one of the things that makes Colorado such a great cycling community; that being the number of pros that choose to live and train here. This rule doesn't affect any of the pros living anywhere else in the country other than Colorado and Oregon. It's not their fault that the ACA broke away from USAC, so why punish them?

Brilliant idea,

Brilliant idea, except......is the ACA going to play along and commit to not posting those unnamed and "unattached" riders on their online results? You still have to show a license when you pick up your number, so the ACA will know who are. USAC may be obnoxious, but they're not stupid. They know where to find the names if they're looking for them.
