I do enjoy commuting to work by bike. I have noticed as each year goes by that I have more and more stuff to carry to work and my back is less and less willing. A good bag is crucial to a comfortable commute. The Mission Workshop Fitzroy backpack fit the bill. I have been using this bag for a couple weeks now and I have only good things to say about it. The spring snow has put a damper on my bike commuting but on or off the bike, I have used the bag everyday to carry my crap to and from work.
On top of comfort, function is important to me in a bag. When both me and my bike commute by bus hoping the snow will melt by lunch, I can easily carry the following: bike shoes, helmet, winter cycling kit, booties, computer, lunch, street shoes bc I'm wearing Sorels and various other items business cards, Moleskin etc. The fold over design allows me to fit as much as I listed above or as little as my computer by adjusting the elastic straps. And I can tell you it's waterproof!
I really enjoy the simplicity of this bag as well as the details that really elevate the design. The coated zippers, the fabric, the discreet logo and the number and type of compartments are perfect. I will let the pictures below tell the rest of the story.
