Marketing Coordinator - Life Time Fitness

Partners with Director of Marketing, Regional Production Office (CO) and Internal Creative Team (3e) to identify, explore and deliver marketing plans and tactical solutions to strengthen performance of the brand and respective events. The Marketing Coordinator will work to grow events by reaching the general athlete population, while also collaborating with internal Life Time departments/resources to find innovative ways to reach Life Time members and grow participant base within this population.

Examples of Work Performed:
- Assist in development of annual marketing and communication plans
- Manage approved media buys and delivery of associated creative
- Develop and manage campaign lifecycle for review by Director of Marketing and manage associated brand budgets (prepare and present budget reports)
- Report regularly to Director of Marketing and work closely with other regional Marketing Coordinators to ensure consistency of message, special offers, and national marketing campaigns
- Manage Life Time Fitness CO Street Team
- Ensure Life Time Athletic Event presence at relevant outside event expos and local Life Time Fitness locations and special events
- Manage Life Time Fitness expo booths space, special offers at local events and ensure staffing by Street Team
- Manage creation of and disperse discount codes to local events, brand ambassadors and Street Team members
- Work to secure local event sponsors and manage sponsor activations at local events in conjunction with the Expo Coordinator
- Stay abreast of and proactively communicate relevant insights, trends and research pertaining to both the relevant brands represented and the marketing/advertising industry

Qualifications

Education:
Four-year college degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience
One to three years related experience in a marketing position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
- Solid understanding of the marketing processes, creative process, media planning
- Ability to identify and explore marketing opportunities, including emerging/social media
- Ability to communicate verbal and written information effectively to team members and Director of Marketing
- Ability to direct Street Team activities and build strong relationships
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Familiarity of standard office software such as MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
- Effective presentation skills
- Strong sense of commitment to deliver on assigned projects
- Passion for events and understanding of multisport, mountain biking, cycling and running communities is a plus
- Some graphics ability (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Social media skills

Physical / Mental Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in both an office setting and at event/offsite locations. This position is required to regularly:
- Interact with media outlets, event organizers, athletes, and new athlete populations
- Read, write, type and comprehend text
- Observe objects up close and at a distance
- Effectively communicate and interact with others
- Use reasoning and solve problems through deduction
- Early morning, late night and weekend availability is required, especially event weekends and when we have expo presence

The Marketing Coordinator will work full-time from the local Austin office and will report directly to the Director of Marketing. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for management of aspects the following brands:
- Leadville Race Series events
- Life Time Tri events
- Life Time Run events
- Life Time Cycle events
- Esprit de She events
