Colorado holds 3 of the top 4 rankings in Collegiate Cycling

From USA Cycling

After winning the 2010 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships, and taking third at this year’s track championships, the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks, the 2009-10 #1 ranked team, is back on top, a solid six points ahead of second place, the Lees McRae College Bobcats, who were also 2009-10’s #2 team. With consistent finishes just off the podium at both Track and Mountain Bike nationals this year, the Colorado State University Rams currently sit as the third best D1 team in the country, a single point ahead of their neighbors to the south, the University of Colorado-Boulder Buffaloes, and the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College, who also have 29 points, but are ranked fifth because the Buffaloes placed so highly at Mountain Bike nationals (ties go to the team with the highest, most recent placing at a national championship). Rounding out the top 10 are Marian University, Midwestern State University, Pennsylvania State University, the Cal Poly Wheelmen, and Indiana University-Bloomington.
