Colorado Cycling nonprofit Organizations
Submitted by Kris Thompson on

It's tax season for those who do not procrastinate and that is very obvious from watching the commercials during the Olympics this year. Need some tax relief and need/or would like to do some donations to help out your taxes for next year? Below is a list in progress of non-profit cycling organizations who are not only good places to donate but also could provide you with some tax relief in doing so. Special thanks to BikeDenver.org for helping with this list!
- Community Cycles of Boulder
- Bike Jeffco
- Park Hill Bike Depot
- Assisted Cycling Tours
- Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance
- Bicycle Colorado
- Boulder Junior Cycling
- Various Colorado Cycling Friendly Colleges
- Valmont Bike Park
- COMBA
- Bike Denver
This list is by far incomplete, a full list of all cycling related non-profits would probably be 4 times the size. If you know of one please add it in the comments section to this story.

Recycle Bicycles

By giving away 777 bicycles last year to people that would not otherwise be able to have a bike, as well as help out some of your other community bike shops - I believe that Recycle Bicycles deserves some credit as well. Thanks Bruce for all you do!!!

While not a 501c3 non-profit, Derailer Bicycle Collective in Denver is an awesome DIY not-for-profit shop run by some of the most amazing people I've ever met. Dedicated, aware, and super nice.

While they do have an office in Boulder, and they do support local businesses, Bikes Belong does bike advocacy on a national level. www.bikesbelong.org
The Golden Optimists' Club also does some bike collections, refurbs, and distribution.
