Junior Road Camp - May 15-17th
Cycling camps are an integral part of junior development.
The American Cycling Association Junior Camps are all about fun. Designed to encourage health, friendship, and character development through cycling, the camps offer kids between 8 and 18 years of age and opportunity to spend a weekend that they will remember for a lifetime.
Our program is open to junior aged kids from the ages of 8 to 18. We offer activities throughout the weekend designed around all levels of abilities and all ages. Our coaching staff is among the best in the nation. Our head coach is Jon Heidemann, assisted by his wife, Kathy Zawadzki. Jon & Kathy are the owners of Peak to Peak Training Systems and will be offering the support of their professional staff of cycling coaches during the camp.
One of the traits that make us unique among cycling camps is our encouragement of parent/caregivers attending the camp. Parents/Caregivers bring so many positive aspects to camp. Parent/Caregivers help as chaperones, ride leaders, extra hands for other camp tasks.
Our program director for the camp is Clint Bickmore. Clint is an active board member of the American Cycling Association in the role of junior liaison. The 2009 camps will be held at a new venues, TBA.
