2011 Warriors Cycling - Battle of the Bear

Event Highlights:
Part of the Denver Fat Tire Festival, spectators and racers alike will enjoy the hot racing action and recreational rides and clinics going on at this fun venue. There will be industry exposition tents with product sampling, and raffles going on. Bring your cowbells or noisemakers and see what Front Range racing is all about! Kick off the mountain bike racing season in Colorado by bringing the family and kids out to this annual spring ritual of off-road fun. Event Details:
9th annual Cross Country Race. Sunday, May 8. No license required to race. Presenting a reconfigured course and run on its own day this year to reduce traffic. A neutral support feed zone will be provided at the Start/Finish at Coyote Crossing. Tents can be set up along the feed zone. Team vehicles can park in the expo up top if you're in by 7:00 am. Racer parking down below. Races will start down below with 2 minute intervals.

2011 Warriors Cycling - PV Cycle Derby

Event Highlights:
Race #5. Held outside the quaint village of Elbert on the Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch, this venue harkens back to a time of windmills and cowboys. Intimate camping and bunkhouses offer a - well, peaceful setting to crown the Series Champions. Join us in the rustic dining hall for post race dinner and awards. The quiet, back in time feeling at the Ranch make it a great opportunity to bring the family and enjoy the solitude at this private retreat.

Event Details:
Sunday September 4th. Race start 9:00 am. No license required. Tents for support crews can be set up along the course at the Start/Finish. Team vehicles can park in the Expo parking lot.

Entry Fee:
RME Series: $70 before April 1. $85 after April 1.
Half-Marathon: $55/$70.
Entry fee includes never-before been seen racecourse, timely results, goody bag and clothing for first 200 registrants, aid stations, medical support, post race meal, awards and raffles.

Sunday’s Ridgeline Rampage – the third stop in the Rocky Mountain Endurance Series - featured three exciting races in the hills of Castle Rock, CO. Each 10 mile lap offered stunning views, playful flow, and nearly 1000 feet of vertical gain. The RME Ridgeline Rampage Marathon Riders completed 6 laps, with the Half Marathoners and Junior riders completing 3 laps, and the Wrangle Sport and Wrangle Beginner fields completing two and one laps, respectively.

Racing: 

2011 Warriors Cycling - Front Range 60

Event Highlights:
Race #2. We've added another lap which will test the athletes this year. The course has reversed direction and is running clockwise this year. It promises to determine the true marathoner on this deceivingly challenging circuit. The Battle the Bear race moved to Sunday so that competitors will have a cleaner course and less traffic.

Event Details:
Saturday May 7th. Race start 9:00 am. No license required. Saturday race day registration and check-in available at Bear Creek. Tents can be set up along the course at feed zone at Coyote Crossing. Team vehicles can park in Expo parking up top if you're in by 7:00am. Racer parking down below. Races will start at bottom of road. RME competitors will race six laps, while Junior RME and Half-Marathon competitors race three.

Iron Rider Competition: We are offering a 20% discount for those Iron Riders who want to double up on the races this weekend and truly test their fitness and training. If you've already registered for the Front Range 60, you may enter the code "ironrider" for your registration into Battle the Bear and receive the double dip discount. The BTB runs counter-clockwise highlighting a different racecourse than the FR 60.
