Mountain States Cup Kick off Party

Bigfoot Productions has teamed up with Anthill Films to bring the most anticipated mountain bike movie of the year, "Follow Me" presented by Shimano, to the Mountain States Cup Season Kick-Off Party at Wahoo's Fish Tacos in downtown Denver on Friday, May 7th.

The MSC Season is coming into full swing, and to start things off right we are inviting all racers, families, friends and people who love to mountain bike to join us for a movie premier, register for races this season with no online or on-site fees, and happy hour specials all night long. The event is free with a donation at the door for the up-and-coming Colorado High School Mountain Bike League.

Follow Me is a new HD mountain bike film from the crew who brought you the Collective, Roam and Seasons. Follow Me is all about good times, pushing limits with your friends, crazy adventures and most importantly having fun your bike. Breaking from traditional single rider formats, the film is based on the idea that “no one rides alone”; mixing and matching the world’s best downhillers, freeriders and slopestylers in some of the best places to ride on the planet. Featuring: Sam Hill, Gee Atherton, Brandon Semenuk, Cam McCaul, Thomas Vanderham, Matt Hunter, Ben Boyko, Kurt Sorge, Steve Smith and Geoff Gulevich.

Bailey Hundo

The Senators’ Underground Invitational

Race Report

The Bailey HUNDO: The Senators’ Underground Invitational is a 100-mile endurance mountain bike race/ride based out of Bailey, Colorado to establish the region as the premiere Front Range mountain biking destination in Colorado, and promote the sport of mountain biking to at-risk youth along the Front Range, through a partnership with Trips For Kids Denver/Boulder and Platte Canyon High School.

About the Race
Located less than an hour from Denver, and less than an hour and a half from Boulder, Bailey offers unparalleled access to single track trails—both the Buffalo Creek Trail System, and the Colorado Trail are easily accessible from the heart of Bailey. Money raised through the Bailey HUNDO will, along with promoting mountain biking among youth, fund trail improvements and the building new trails in the Bailey area.

Vapor Trail 125

The Vapor Trail 125 is an ultra-endurance Mountain Bike Event. Those words are a sort of label that doesn't really cover what the Vapor Trail 125 is. It's a bike ride that starts at 10 PM on a bridge over the Arkansas River at 7,000 feet elevation.

For roughly 2 hours riders climb the slope of the Sawatch Range to over 10,000 feet. They ride through the night, and most of them through the next day never dropping back below 9,000 feet until the last 8 miles. It can rain, it can snow, it can be windy and/or cold. There are multiple climbs to the Continental Divide, one climb to 12,600 feet elevation. Roughly 20,000 of cumulative climbing.

There are 4 aid stations, and there are some people out on the course during the event, but people who get involved in this event need to know how to take care of themselves. On many parts of the course a rider can be 10 or more rugged miles from any kind of help. That rider needs to have the clothes needed, skills and tools for fixing a bike, water and nourishment, and good judgement.

This year, 2010, the event will start at 10 PM on September 11. Some will finish in the afternoon of the 12th, others will finish in the evening of the 12th.
