2014 - Community Cycles coordinates bike recycling event

BOULDER, Colo.—Sept. 24, 2014—Community Cycles, a nonprofit organization that educates and advocates for the safe use of bicycles, will conduct a bike recycling event on Sunday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at Western Disposal, 5880 Butte Mill Road, in Boulder.

Donate your old bikes and Community Cycles will refurbish and re-circulate them into the community, keeping used bikes out of landfills and the waste stream. Community Cycles currently helps to divert 40 tons of bicycles from the waste stream each year.

2014 - Pedal 50

The Pedal 50 is a free, unsupported gravel bike ride that begins and ends in Monument, CO. You can ride whatever bike you’d like – gravel-specific, mountain bike, or road (you’ll be rattled and risk multiple flats with a road bike!). Go fast, go social, go however you’d like. It’s your chance to ride something different in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains!
