2015 - The Butter Hour

They say if at first you don't succeed make your own category. This Sunday butter's very own Francecso Assagrande will attempt the first ever hour record ride on a Boulder B-Cycle. Arrive at the Boulder Valley Velodrome at 7:00, the historic ride starts at 7:30pm. Bring a picnic dinner and something to drink and watch Assagrande suffer!!

2015 - Circle Boulder by Bicycle

BOULDER—Boulder’s 2015 Walk and Bike Month kicks off with the popular Circle Boulder by Bicycle tour on Sunday, June 7 from 10 a.m. Riders will meet at Valmont Park at the Hub Plaza Picnic Area adjacent to Airport Rd., and return to Valmont Park for refreshments afterward. Registration will be open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The start is rolling, with groups leaving at various times between 11 a.m. and noon. Event organizers stress this is a friendly, leisurely ride around Boulder’s bike paths.

2015 - Chicks on Bikes 101

BOULDER—As part of Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month, Community Cycles will host the women’s-only workshop “Chicks on Bikes 101” on Saturday, June 6 at 9 a.m. Attendees will learn more about bikes, gear, basic safety checks, navigation and safe riding skills. This is an interactive workshop and attendees will be encouraged to participate and engage. Community Cycles founding member Wanda Pelegrina Caldas will lead the workshop. Registration is required.

2015 - Walk & Bike Month at the Farmers' Market

BOULDER—As part of Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month, Community Cycles will host an informational booth at the Boulder Farmer’s Market on Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet the Community Cycles/GO Boulder Bike Ambassadors, learn more about Walk & Bike Month and bike safety, and register for Bike to Work Day, which takes place on Wednesday, June 24. The Farmer’s Market is located on 13th Street between Arapahoe and Canyon avenues.

2015 - Boulder 9-Mile Ramble

BOULDER—As part of Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month, Walk2Connect will host the Boulder 9-Mile Ramble on Saturday, June 6 at 8:30 a.m. Meet at Alfafa’s Market, 1651 Broadway, to embark on a walking trip through Boulder’s beautiful neighborhoods, commercial districts, college campus corridors, Pearl Street Mall and hiking trails. Please bring water, sunglasses, rain gear, comfortable shoes, sunscreen and any snacks desired. Plan to bring a lunch or to pick one up along the way. Some snacks as well as route information and guidance will be provided.

2015 - Seniors on Bikes Berthoud Ride

BOULDER—As part of Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month, Seniors on Bikes will host a 45-mile bike ride on Friday, June 5 at 9 a.m. starting at 75th Street and Colorado Highway 66 in Longmont. This is a “pacer” ride, which is moderate-paced. Participating cyclists should bring a spare tube, tire levers and pump. Riders who may need help or want to ride with someone else should alert someone at the start of the ride. Please be considerate of the group and observe the protocols established by ride leaders, such as ride pace and regrouping.

2015 - Free Friday Fits

BOULDER—As part of Boulder’s Walk & Bike Month, Community Cycles will offer free bike fits on Friday, June 5 at 5 p.m. Ride by the shop and get a free 10-minute bike fit evaluation from Community Cycles’ Board President Ray Keener. Keener is a seasoned expert and has been doing bike fits for more than 30 years. Registration is required.
