LOCATION: Tony Grampsas Park. 4471 Salvia Street, Golden (Off of 44th between McIntyre & Easley)

COURSE: An ACA legal, spectator friendly course designed to test fitness, handling, and technique. Course is open for warm-up during racing, so please respect the cyclists who are racing while you are warming up.

THIS RACE COURSE IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. PLEASE DO NOT RIDE AT THIS COURSE
AT ANY TIME OTHER THAN ON RACE DAY. RIDING AT THIS VENUE AT ANY TIME OTHER
THAN ON RACE DAY WILL RESULT IN BANNING FUTURE RACES AT THIS LOCATION.

Racing: 

Boulder CX Series #2

Race #2, Broomfield Interlocken East Park: Tall, lush, green grass, unheard of in Colorado. This early season race is a great primer requiring some extra power to navigate the course's ample grass riding. The tight venue has great spectating and easy to see all the action. A sand pit and short, but brutal run-ups come at no extra change.

Event:
This is a new format for a cross race – It is an epic 10 mile loop with groups doing 1, 2, or 3 laps depending on which group they race in.

Bear Creek Lake Park

Take C-470 to Morrison Rd exit, east to park entrance on south side of Morrison Rd. Proceed east inside park to Coyote Crossing.

Registration:
Online registration: go to www.bikereg.com. All riders must hold an ACA license – please bring it to registration! One day licenses will be available online, as well as the day of the event.

Course:
We are very excited to use a new course which encircles the entire Bear Creek Lake Park. The course is approximately 10 miles in length and features a taste of all types of terrain, with one big climb, rolling hills, lots of singletrack and exciting descents. This will not be just another mountain bike race, as there will be barriers, dismounts and run ups throughout the course. There will be a neutral support feed zone at the end of each lap. The Start/Finish venue will be at Coyote Crossing.

Course Description: Unique cross course with many technical aspects. The course is great for spectators, so feel free to bring friends and family.

Registration: Pre-registration is available. Make checks payable to: HERO. Mail ACA Standard Release (Available on ACA Website www.americancycling.org to:
9461 S Hackberry Ln. Highlands Ranch, CO 80129. Pre-registration must be post-marked no later than Tues, Sept 8th. Race day registration opens at 7:00am and closes 30 minutes prior to start of each event. Second race is $10. Pre-registered riders must check in 30 minutes prior to their start. Call up 10 minutes prior to start. Events will be run regardless of weather conditions! No Refunds. Entry fees include ACA surcharges. You must be an ACA member to race. You can buy a one-day membership on-site for $10.00- Annual licenses will not be available on race day. USCF licenses are not valid. Cyclocross age is determine by your age as of 12/31/2010.

Directions: From Denver: I-25 to US 36W. US 36 W to Foothills Pwky N. Exit Pearl St W to Frontier. Left on Frontier Ave (1st Left). From Boulder: Pearl St E to Frontier Ave. Right on Frontier Ave.

Come enjoy the peak of fall colors in the beautiful Arkansas Valley and some hard
core cyclo-cross at 8,000 ft!

Registration: $25 day of race only. Juniors Free. Second race $10. Opens at 8:00 am and closes 20 minutes prior to event. Must have an ACA license to race. One-day license available for $10 Annual license will not be sold at race.

Parking: Follow signs to race parking at east end of Main St. Please do not park directly in front of the community center.
