CUORE of Switzerland was founded by PRO Cyclist Hugo Gibel in Switzerland 26 years ago. His passion and endless desire for high quality cycling/run/tri apparel set new standards. His dedication to the sport is what made our company a global player in premium cycling apparel. CUORE of Switzerland is the supplier to two World Tour teams, all of the USA Cycling Team USA national squads, the Cal Giant Berry development team and many shops and clubs across the world.
Our main design offices are in Switzerland and Italy, we are now expanding our team with a Graphic Design Artist at our U.S. Headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. The person hired for this position must be great communicating with our clients. At the same time they should be able to lead the customer toward a new design direction if needed to ensure their vision is fulfilled and our product is unique.

Reports To: Creative Manager in Switzerland
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
The Graphic Design Artist is a valued member of CUORE’s creative team. This individual must have the ability to deliver solid design solutions, quickly and with great proficiency and accuracy. The Graphic Design Artist must have the technical and design knowledge to consistently deliver solid design work. The scope of work for the Graphic Design Artist generally includes projects that cover our North American customer base. While the Graphic Design Artist works with the customer’s vision in mind, this person needs to embody CUORE’s brand parameters so every product meets our high standards.
Typically 2-7 years experience in Graphic Design
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Advanced-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: specifically Illustratorand Photoshop
Proficient in Mac OS
Experience applying design and color theory
Understanding of sublimation and cylinder print production process, including color processes
Experience preparing and sending files to print, with consistent accuracy
Translate client notes into one-of-a-kind sports apparel designs in Adobe Illustrator.
Re-work and manipulate existing vector art to create eye catching designs.
Able to handle an average volume, diverse workload, while maintaining high quality designs
Strong communication and organization skills
Experience with cycling or outdoor apparel, footwear or equipment trends and branding
Positive attitude, even while under tight deadline
Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Detail oriented and accountable for design projects start to finish
Ability to work at a computer 95% of the day and ability to distinguish color
Passion for cycling / run / triathlon
Create custom designs needed for team and event apparel, including the majority of CUORE’s apparel products
Create CUORE’s original branded designs, incorporating current trends in cycling and outdoor fashion
Work both independently and as part of a team with Int’l Design Artists, Production Artists and Sales staff
Must be able to understand clients needs and translate ideas into designs
Occasionally work directly with clients about design needs
Work extended hours, when necessary, to achieve goals
Accepts constructive criticism and actively participates in group creative sessions
