We are currently looking for someone to work 2-3 days of the week. Flexible schedule and available on the weekends are a requirement.This position will start at 15-20 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours if you prove to be a great employee.
Compensation starts at $11 per hour, with possibility of higher rates after time. Paid time off available.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Working in the open shop area assisting members and volunteers who are servicing bicycles Teaching workshops on a variety of bicycle maintenance subjects (fix a flat, adjusting brakes, building wheels,etc)
This position will be ideal for someone who wants to work in a fast paced environment with a wide range of individuals who may have little or no previous experience working on their own bikes, so patience is an absolute must. Previous teaching and/or bike mechanic experience is desired. An understanding of bike component compatibility is necessary, as well as a solid base of bike maintenance experience.
This position will involve working on your feet for up to 7 hours per shift as well as working some weekends and/or evenings. Our dedicated staff is comprised of some of the best people you will ever meet. Community Cycles has over 2,500 active members currently, and you can expect to be helping up to 8 individuals at a time. Our ideal candidate will be able to multitask well and will need to be able to field questions from all kinds of different folks.
