    Overview: Wish for Wheels is a nonprofit organization committed to transforming the lives of kids from low-income families, broadening their scope for personal growth and a healthy lifestyle through the gift of a new bicycle.

    Job Description: The Build/Give Manager reports to the Executive Director and is managed by th Founder/CEO. The Build/Give Manager works to provide quality experiences for our Corporate Partners as they participate in a their team build/employee engagement activity, as well as the benefactors (i.e. schools, organizations, families and children).

    The Build/Give Manager works closely with the founder internally, as well as externally, Corporate Partners, Schools, Afterschool Programs and other benefiting organizations.

    This position is a part-time, contractor position, with time spent primarily 30% administrative/management and 70% field and direct services. It is a unique position that possesses duties of a physical nature, as well as, high level interpersonal skills, communicating and working closely with high level executives. This position includes the following duties:

     Facilitation of all Programs (primarily Build/Give Program), which includes:
    o Complete all logistical tasks to prepare for a Build/Give event (loading bikes, tools, marketing and team building materials etc.);
    o Welcome group and provide introduction / tone set for Build and Give;
    o Provide all teaching and educational guidance, using Wish for Wheels curriculum;
    o Lead group through team building program experience;
    o Facilitate Direct Give of bikes with Partner
    o Debrief program experience;
    o Follow up with Partner agencies for satisfaction survey and thank you;

     Acts as an ambassador of Wish for Wheels with volunteers, Corporate Partners, Community Organizations & Schools, Donors and the Public;
     Provide training and supervision of volunteers as needed;
     Maintains relationships with existing Partner agencies as needed;
     Cooperate in clear and timely communications to Partners and Benefactors leading up to and following programs to ensure preparedness and satisfaction;
     Coordinating details with all volunteers associated with a designated program;
     Participation in outreach events throughout the season as needed
     Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications
     Experience, comfort and passion working with children K-2nd.
     Comfort facilitating activities with groups of individuals (small and large).
     Comfortable with public speaking and media relations
     Experience working with culturally diverse children & families.
     Experience managing people, schedules, contacts and relationships.
     Experience handling multiple tasks, and responding to stressful situations with a professional and level-headed approach.
     Comfort driving box truck on city streets freeways and mountain driving.
     Ability to lift and move pre-assembled and assembled bikes (aprox. 25lbs).
     Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
     Ability to work independently and with others as circumstances require, both indoors and outdoors.
     Ability to make individual judgment calls about safety and risk management and think independently for the best interest of Wish for Wheels.
     Understanding of and ability to work within existing office and administrative operations.
     Must be able to pass a criminal background check
     Spanish speaking (a plus but not required)
