We have a part-time bicycle messenger position opening up at Denver Boulder Couriers this month I wanted to see if we could get it posted on your message board. The position is flexible on hours (right now specifically looking to cover Monday and Wednesday 8-4 and 9-5 but more opportunities may come up), starts at $11/hour and can be temporary/seasonal, so students would be great. Let me know if you have any other questions. Below is our job posting:
Denver Boulder Couriers is looking for a bicycle messenger to start part-time in Boulder. Right now the scheduled opening is for one to three days per week and opportunities to cover any extra shifts available (13-29 hours per week on average).
Bicycle messengers are the face of Denver Boulder Couriers. Messengers ride every business day -- rain, snow or shine. Messengers pick up and drop off deliveries by bike in the entire city limits of Boulder, business and residential. Typical deliveries are envelopes, architecture rolls, and boxes as large as bankers boxes. This position requires communication skills, urban bike riding skills, and a passionate level of physical endurance.
The most important characteristic needed to be a part of our messenger team is a love for riding your bike. Denver Boulder Couriers have a passion for riding, regardless of direction, weather, or cargo. We love everything bicycles.
Well rounded bike couriers are quick thinking, professional and courteous, flexible, have strong navigational skills, on-the-fly bicycle repair skills and extensive varied-weather riding experience.
