Last night was day 4 at the CU Cycling Short Track and the course was wonderful. At least wonderful for myself because I put the cross bike away for this event and pulled out my newly acquired 29'er with gears (no single speeding it this time), and that bike just floats over the course requiring little to no handling skills unlike the cx bike does. Anyway, found this bit on Short Track racing in Portland Oregon. From the pictures their course is very different than ours, more BMX'y and to believe that they can race when the course is wet is AMAZING! Try that at the CU course.
Question for a future story... why do you ride a 29'er?
