Boulder's Higgins Finishes 5th at World Track Cycling Championships

Melbourne, Australia - Boulder's Cari Higgins (US National Cycling Team) competing in at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, placed fifth in the Women's Scratch Race on Friday. Cari has eleven career elite National Championships and five Pan American Cycling Championship medals.

Higgins commented "It is nice to finish up the winter with my top Worlds finish. The Aussie crowds are great and there is a lot of energy. I look forward to some time off...but now I am fired up going into a summer full of track racing...and a new velodrome in the Boulder Valley".

Cari is coached by Neal Henderson of Boulder Center for Sports Medicine. She also serves an athlete representatives to the USA Cycling Board in Colorado Springs, CO, a founding member of the Boulder Valley Velodrome and a cycling coach.
