FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 10, 2014
(Tucson, ARIZ.) June 10, 2014 – Epic Rides announces the headlining musical act along with the complete four band lineup for the free community concert at the The 2nd Annual Grand Junction Off-Road presented by U.S. Bank; a mountain bike event taking place Labor Day Weekend, August 29-31.
Imagine a three-day mountain bike event featuring some of the most scenic and breathtaking trails in the world, kicking back with friends for frosty post-ride libations and taking in a full day of free music as the sun sets behind expansive red rock mesas. For all attending “The Grand” on Labor Day Weekend, it won’t be a dream; they’ll be living it.
Headlining The Grand this year, and coming off a successful summer tour including stops at Bonaroo Music Festival and the Hangout Music Fest is Jamestown Revival; a hardy duo from Austin, Texas who capture the essence of the New West’s frontier living with foot-stomping rhythms and soothing harmonies. With recent appearances on Conan O’Brien and praise from both Rolling Stone and Last Call with Carson Daly, the Southern soul blended with Western rock sound of Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance is getting noticed on airwaves across the country.
Featuring the world class Lunch Loops and neighboring trail systems, the “Grand” courses will start and finish on Main Street in downtown Grand Junction, and take participants of all skill levels through an assortment of terrain while traversing the Tabeguache trail system (pronounced Tab-uh-Watch) to the distant reaches of the Magellan loop. The Grand will test not only fitness, but also bike handling skills.
As riders return to the welcoming and unique environment of Grand Junctions meandering Main Street, the DT Swiss Event Hub and 3-day long festival is sure to offer a welcomed feeling of reward and personal gratification through great surrounds, libations and noteworthy culinary indulgences.
