2013 Tentative Race Schedule for Rocky Mountain Endurance Series

The 2013 Rocky Mountain Endurance tentative race schedule has been announced! We welcome new mountain bike races on the front range of Colorado in Ward and Sedalia in 2013. Of course the perennial endurance racer favorites of the Breck 100 and Battle the bear will be back this season. Since it’s barely winter here in CO, now’s the time to get your off season training dialed in!

4/20 – Ridgeline Rampage, Castle Rock
5/4 – Battle the Bear, Lakewood
5/18 – Indian Creek, Sedalia
6/1 – PV Cycle Derby, Elbert
7/14 – Breckenridge 100, Breckenridge
8/4 – Tahosa, Ward
8/31-9/1 – Snake River, Keystone

I think that there is a misconception that Colorado is the best place to race. While the riding, sights, mountains, atmosphere, and vibe are second-to-none, (and not to mention, a seemingly endless season) the actual racing scene doesn't quite match those traits - is not all that in terms of series compared to other areas of the country (Mid Atlantic/East, Upper Midwest).

There are some other very unique and great races within a reasonable distance of the center of Colorado though, including Park City Point to Point, Growler, Steamboat Stinger, Breck Epic, etc.
