Come one, come all. Cult Cross returns for a day of really grassroots fun on the CX bikes. AND there is $1500 in cash payouts for the men and women's open classes thanks to the Town of Eagle. It's gonna be another really fun and tough course in Eagle to kick off your 2013 Cyclocross season!
Really you are a 45ish cycling wannabe who disparately looking for fame in glory in cyclocross in the spring and complaining about points. You are also the demographic that make all the money not the 20-something that actually has talent. Pull up your skirt and play.
No points series.
No REAL categories.
And best of all, no clowns like the first poster sucking the fun out of racing and crying "but I am the biggest demographic" (To promoters you are the biggest pain in the...
Sounds like a great event, nice effort LG!
Yes, we've all been acknowledging Masters. 10+ categories per race so that the self-righteous who pay all the bills for racing to exist can feel good about themselves.
By the way, as a master, I raced in the day when there wasn't masters and their money and guess what - bike racing still existed!
There needs to be time in the day for the 30 women that show up to have 5 categories, 8 different JR age/gender groups that race for free, and charge the P-1-2 half price because they take the most time and money but bring the crowds!

This looks awesome. I'm going to weigh my bike and myself tomorrow just in case I can do the Cyldesdale category. Kidding. It's on Easter, so we'll be doing happy church/kid/family things, but. What a fun idea for a town to roll out. Thanks for posting LG.
I have raced with larry yelling at me in some of the worst conditions CO cx has to offer and its a shame not to at least support or attempt to support this kick ass race! If he is willing to support announcing in crazy conditions week in and week out and also make race this happen, then by all means....
Wish this wasn't on Easter Sunday. Otherwise, even though no real training since the end of last CX season I would be there to give LG some support. Hope it is a hit and returns next year on a better date. Good luck to all wish I could make it!

Rogue races are a Big Bummer

So 10 people are getting all the money. Must be nice for the 5 women that show up.
There are numerous problems with races that are Rogue.
This race has nothing for me. I am in the BIGGEST demographic of cycling and this race has nothing.
Unsanctioned race with no discount in price.
No Points series.
No REAL categories.
I like to race against my peers.
Really LG, " kick off your 2013 Cyclocross season" 6 months early.

Curious what the biggest demographic really is? From the looks of things, it would be pompous whiners.

Without Masters and their money... bike racing would disappear.
Yes, we demand that promoters put on races that we want and acknowledge who pays the bills.....masters.

"bring the crowds"
I've never see a "Crowd" at an ACA race.....unless we are talkin about the lines around the port-a-john.
