COURAGE CLASSIC REGISTRATION NEARS MAX
Event set to pedal through Summit County July 20-22 to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado close to being sold out
A renowned cycling event since 1989, the Courage Classic presented by Prologis, is a three-day journey fueled by individual and team fundraising efforts that benefits Children’s Hospital Colorado. More than 2,000 cyclists of all ages and ability levels, hundreds of volunteers and several generous sponsors participate each year to support the greatest needs of Children’s Colorado. The 155-mile, multi-route course winds through Summit, Eagle and Lake Counties during the height of the Rocky Mountain’s summertime beauty.
This year’s tour dates are July 20-22. Interested participants should register early as last year’s event sold out in June. This year’s registration numbers suggest a sell out and online registration closure by mid-June.
Participant fees for the event are as follows: $120 for adults (ages 16 and older) and $60 for children (ages 15 and younger). In addition to the registration fee, adult riders must raise a minimum of $300 in donations. Children must raise a minimum of $125.
The funds raised by Courage Classic riders benefit the Children’s Fund, helping Children's Colorado sustain and improve care for every patient. Purchasing essential new medical equipment, covering the cost of care for patients unable to afford treatment, or supporting new child health research are a just a few examples of how donations can impact local children.
Last year, the Courage Classic raised more than $2 million. For more information about the ride, including registration information, visit couragetours.com or call 720-777-7499.
