Boulder Fundraiser for CU Cycling Team with Timmy Duggan
2/25 7pm at the Engineering Center, Room Eccr 1b40
Suggested $5 at the door
On Monday, Feb 25 at 7pm, the CU Cycling Team is welcoming USPRO National Champion Timmy Duggan to campus. He'll discuss what was going through his mind when he chased down van Garderen and Danielson in Greenville last summer, and what it felt like to be both in the groove and suffering off the front in the final laps of the finishing circuit. For all you prospective pros, ask him about the transition from ski racing to bike racing, or what the politics and schedule of a pro team is like.
Timmy will speak in the Engineering Center, Room 1B40. In addition to having Timmy speak (and maybe even sign some autographs), there will be some raffles. A $5 donation will not only get you in, but will also get you an extra raffle ticket. All contributions go directly to the team, and help us put on the Stazio Crit and the Summer Short Track Series, along with defraying travel costs during the collegiate racing season and national championships.
Directions: From Folsom and Colorado, head south along the path between the Math and Engineering Buildings. There are a ton of bike racks available to lock your bike to. Just after the racks, you'll see two entrances to the left, one further left facing west, and one closer facing north. Go in the closer one that faces north. Then go down stairs 1 level, and the room 1B40 should be around the stairs on the right. See the map below for a map.
