Saturday, June 22nd, 2013, the Slacker Races will be running between Loveland Ski Area and the Town of Georgetown. During the race time of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the County will close the bike paths between Georgetown and Loveland Ski Area. This includes the paved bike path between Georgetown and Silver Plume (approx.. 2 miles) and the paved bike path between Bakerville and Loveland Ski Area (approx. 5 miles) to allow for Slacker racers only.
There are approximately 2000 racers between the half marathon (Loveland to Georgetown) and the 4 mile race (Silver Plume to Georgetown) and the bike paths are pretty congested---hence the temporary closure.
