Boulder officials this year set a goal of getting 1,400 cyclists to brave the winter chill and a high wind warning. Last year, 1,200 cyclists participated in Winter Bike to Work Day.
Sue Prant, the city's walk and bike coordinator, said 1,250 people registered online, but the city website was down yesterday, meaning those numbers are probably on the low side.
