Standard Race Flyer stuff

Please note license requirements where indicated (ACA/ USAC/ UCI) One-day licenses will be available on-site for $10 per day. All ACA races will be run according to ACA Cx Rules. ACA Jrs. and Masters races were limited in the ACA Program so that those interested in obtaining ranking points for the CX National Call-up system could do so by entering the afternoon USAC Juniors or USAC Masters 35+ (1/2/3) race.

Online Pre-registration is available on BikeReg.com and closes Wednesday Oct 5th at 10pm eastern time. On-site registration will be available and riders will be charged a $10 per race late fee.

NO REFUNDS
On-site registration opens at 6:00AM each day. Registration CLOSES ONE HOUR before scheduled start time NO EXCEPTIONS. athletes are not allowed to “race up” in age group.

Races will be run rain or shine. There will be a $3.00 Parking Fee per day.

Call-Ups

Master 35+ Men
For the first two races of the 2011 series (The Planet Bike Cup), Master 35+ men will be called up based on the 2010 USGP Masters 35+ ranking - ONLY PRE-REGISTERED RIDERS WILL BE INCLUDED FOR CALL-UP POSITION.

For all subsequent races, all Masters 35+ men will be called up in order of the latest USGP ranking (PRE-REGISTERED RIDERS ONLY). NEW Rankings are posted on MONDAY following each USGP race weekend.

One row of eight (8) remaining Masters 35+ men with points from host venue's regional/local series will then be called up. Start order will be the same for both Saturday and Sunday of a given USGP race weekend. All other riders will be called up by order of registration. Published Regional Series standings from the Monday preceeding the USGP will be used. (Madison - MadCross; Louisville - OVCX; Ft Collins - Cross Cup; Bend - Top 3 each from Cross Crusade, MFG Cross, Seattle Cup)

Masters 45+ Men:
At the first two races of the 2011 series (The Planet Bike Cup), Master 45+ Men will be called up based on the 2009 USGP Masters 45+ ranking - ONLY PRE-REGISTERED RIDERS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR CALL-UP POSITION.

Any riders who were ranked in the 2009 USGP Masters 35+ Series will be given that equivalent ranking in the Masters 45+ for the first two races (The Planet Bike Cup) ONLY PRE-REGISTERED RIDERS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR CALL-UP POSITION.

Phil, is that you??

Watching the streaming video of the Open Women's race, couldn't help but chuckle... but why is it that race announcers think they have to mimic Phil or Paul or Bobke or whoever?

When there are two women battling it out at the front and one closes the gap to the other, it is not "groupo compacto".
