Event Description

Primalpalooza will be a great event for a great cause, Trips for Kids! Primalpalooza will have a number of unique features as it is a Cyclocross race including lots-o-prizes for crowd and racers, expo area, food concessions, kids play area including free strider racing on our mini-race course, and most importantly a race for beginners. We really want to introduce people to this great sport and we feel that by having a first-timers or beginners category with a lower entry fee of $15, we can give people the opportunity to go out, race and have fun....don't have a cyclocross bike no problem bring your mountain bike(no bar ends please).

Course Description

Course is primarily grass, dirt, with a wide open 350 meter straight hole shot at the start, no sharp turns till 1k after the start and plenty of room for passing.

Beginners race at Primalpalooza November 6th Golden, CO

We are going to have a lot of fun and have lost of prizes for a great cause TRIPS FOR KIDS! Along with some great racing in the usual categories we are going to have a beginners race for $15 to help grow the sport, so if you know someone that is interested and does not want to be intimidated by vet racers tell them to come on out and help support this worthy charity. As some of you my know the Executive Director of Trips for Kids Andrew Goodwillie (who is on a good path for recovery) is on our Primal Racing p/b 1st Bank Team and will be onsite to accept a check from a portion of the proceeds.

Primalpalooza

It's only a few minutes south of Boulder, too. Cyclocross at its cheapest. Cheap cyclocross at its best. Juniors, as always are free, and if you're a beginner, this is the race for you. It will be the $15 that got you into the sport.

Oh, and no USAC license required. Because we all know how weird that can get.

Help Trips for Kids. Help Andrew Goodwillie. Help yourself to another serving of dirt.

Help raise $ for Trips for Kids....and it won't cost you a dime.

Thanks,

We are trying to raise money and have found a foundation that will match all the money we raise dollar for dollar. You can help even if you don't race at our event.

Like our Facebook page and we will donate $1/person for the first 500 likes to Trips for Kids till November 6th 2011 (Primalpalooza Day)

So, how many riders do you

So, how many riders do you expect to be down by to that USAC race promoted by a USAC Events Dept. staff person at the USAC HQ in Colorado Springs with $1,500 each for Pro Men and Women?

Did they ever contact you?

outsider's guess

my guess is that there will be very little impact to most of the categories. They are charging juniors and requiring an annual license except for cat 4's (quote below). Maybe open riders will go for the cash potential, but unless they post what the breakdown is, that may even be doubtful.

"First race is $35 and additional races are $25. Junior races are $15. Day of registration add $10. USA Cycling annual license, road or mountain, required for all categories except Cat 4 Men and Women. Cat 4 Men and Women can purchase a USA Cycling one-day license."
