HARDSCRABBLE HUMMPER GRAN MTB FONDO, AUGUST 14, EAGLE, COLORADO
Submitted by Elgee (not verified) on
40 grueling miles, 11,000 ft of vert on Eagle, Colorado's finest singletrack. This is totally grassroots, and it's free. We had 50 riders last year in the first edition, this year will be HUGE. Leadville's buckle aint got nothin on the Humper's Antler.

Old Stage-Road Damage
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Sorry to poach a post but I just rode Old Stage and there is a very dangerous pavement cut-out on the North side as you are descending. It comes up fast if you dont happen to notice in advance and b/c of the speeds people carry, it's a major safety issue/hazard!
As of now, it is not marked. I just spoke with the county road maintenance department this afternoon, and while they inspected it yesterday, they didnt think to mark it with a warning. He assured me he would put up a Road Damage sign but who knows how long it will take.
Be Careful anyway until they get it re-paved! It's a major accident waiting to happen, especially for those who arent the best bike handlers and freak out.
