Event Description:
The Crested Butte Alpine Odyssey is the last race of the Leadville Qualifying Series and takes place during the heart of Colorado's wildflower season. Known over the years as a premier mountain biking destination and home to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, the challenging yet picturesque course at the Crested Butte Mountain Resort will feature 58 miles of epic Colorado trails between elevations of 9,000 and 11,000 feet above sea level. The race's difficulty will serve as a great training day for those looking to acclimate and succeed in Leadville a few weeks later, but also gives riders a final chance at making it to the big race. Racers have the opportunity to gain entry to the famed Leadville Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race by top age group placing or by lottery. 50 positions will be distributed by age group and 50 positions will be distributed by a random lottery of all finishers who complete the Crested Butte Alpine Odyssey. Qualifiers must be present to accept their LT100 entry and pay on site.
