The first annual Ride 4 Yellow mountain bike event will be held at the Steamboat Ski Mountain. The Divide Ride is an epic 26 mile ride on pristine singletrack across the Continental Divide. A second ride has been added for those interested in enjoying the cross country trails within the Steamboat ski area.
Ride the Divide
This exclusive ride is only open to the first 200 riders to raise more than $500 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. This ride has been called one of the most epic mountain bike rides in the Rockies. It begins at the 10,000 ft Dumont Lake on Rabbit Ears pass just outside of Steamboat and winds along the continental divide with over 26 miles of single-track toward the Steamboat ski area. The ride finished at the top of the gondola.
Mt Werner Challenge
For the riders who are not able to participate in the Divide Ride, Ride4Yellow will have the perfect solution for you. The Mount Werner Ride will take place on the Zig Zag Trail of the Steamboat Ski area and will be fully supported. Riders will be able to complete downhill laps and relax on the gondola ride back to the top. The Zig Zag Trail is an intermediate trail consisting of alternating single and double track with some banked turns and a few steep downhill sections. Riders who want a little more adventure and challenging terrain can choose to exit off Zig Zag to access the Creekside Trail. Creekside is for advanced riders and is downhill only.
A $75 entry fee will allow you all day gondola access with your mountain bike and a ticket to the celebration lunch with the guest of honor, Linda Armstrong Kelly. The top of the gondola will be the center of all the festivities. Riders registering for the Mt. Werner Ride will need to raise $100 in donations. Sign up for this fun event and be a part of the Ride4Yellow celebration!!
