Stazio Spring races take another hit
Submitted by Kris Thompson on

Between the city of Boulder and Mother Nature it seems the Stazio races always have big hurdles to cross and this new year brings nothing new. The road that the race runs on is now under construction and will be during the time of the events in March. Chris Grealish just received this information and is scrambling to find a new course to handle the early spring events. For well over a decade the Stazio races has been the season opener in Colorado and for many even though they are a simple race they are a measuring stick as to how ones performance is progressing so at times they can be intense, especially if your not prepared. This race is where Taylor Phinney at the young age of 15 really got is start as a successful cyclist by lapping the 3's field! If you have any new course suggestion please comment to the story!

Need to find an office park that is easy to control traffic.
The office park east of the diagonal off of highway 52. There was a crit series there a couple years ago.

What about the Scott Kornfield Memorial Course in Lafayette in the "Colorado Tech Center"....that place is EMPTY on weekends and easily accessible to all. There must be an low key industrial park somewhere....

This would be a great place. You could do a much smaller loop than the Scott Kornfield course.
